➤ Are your teachers native speakers?

All British Council teachers are proficient speakers of English and expert in teaching English. Our teachers come from a wide range of backgrounds and nationalities. Ability, experience, and qualifications are important to us. All our teachers share a common goal to offer the highest standards of English language teaching to our learners.

To maintain these standards, we require our teachers to have, at a minimum, a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language, such as Cambridge University CELTA or Trinity College London CertTESOL.

Additionally our teachers take part in continuous professional development programmes, and are encouraged to obtain further qualifications such as Cambridge University DELTA or Trinity College London DipTESOL.

➤ How many students are there in each class?

We have a maximum of 12 students per class in most cases. From the first day we encourage you to use English in the classroom to communicate with the teacher and other students. The more you speak, the easier it becomes to learn the language.

Our aim is to teach you in the most effective way possible, and in a fun and enjoyable environment.

➤ Do you offer exam preparation courses?

We offer preparation courses for IELTS, Aptis ESOL and Cambridge Exams (FCE, CAE, and CPE), with both face to face and online options.

➤ Do you offer a certificate after the course?

Yes, we offer course completion certificates. Towards the end of your course you can request a completion certificate from our customer service team using our contact form, or call us on 911 218 000
