Cambridge English Proficiency
The Cambridge English Proficiency or CPE qualification, aimed at students of the most advanced level, demonstrates the linguistic abilities needed to study very high level content, negotiate and convince, speak about complex or delicate issues and write with confidence on any topic.
The exam consists of four papers, testing the four language skills as well as grammar and vocabulary: Reading and Use of English (1 hour 30 minutes), Writing (1 hour 30 minutes), Listening (40 minutes) and Speaking (16 minutes). Reading and Use of English counts for 40% of the total marks, while the other three papers count for 20% each.
Cambridge English Proficiency is the highest of the Cambridge English qualifications and shows that the student has mastered the language to an exceptional level. With this certificate, your child can prove that they can communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker, and therefore work or study in English at the highest level.
