Get to know our centre

In British Council Barcelona we are continuing our partnership with Escolàpies Sant Martí and extending our Young Learner offer to the general public.

Our partnership with Escolàpies Sant Martí allows us to bring our methodology to the school for a wide range of ages and levels. For this, we have a big team or teachers, coordinators and assistants that accompany the students at the school throughout their learning journey. At British Council Barcelona we are proud to collaborate with Escolàpies Sant Martí and to offer here our services in extracurricular lessons that are open to all students from different schools. 

These courses, available for children and young learners aged 6 to 17,  will provide our students with a solid base that will enable them to speak English in different situations. They are tailored to the specific needs of each stage of educational development and designed to foster learners’ interest in English in a dynamic and fun learning environment, where they will learn and have fun at the same time and, additionally, they will be prepared to face official exams. 

OUR FACILITIES 

The fantastic facilities at the Escolàpies Sant Martí school include spacious classrooms with lots of light, equipped with all the necessary technology for our classes.

ENGLISH EXTRA | Much more than English classes

The best way to reinforce English learnt in class is by integrating it naturally into daily leisure activities. When you join the British Council, in addition to attending English classes which will help you achieve your goals, you will be able to enjoy a wide variety of services and activities free of charge, helping to to make the most of your academic and personal development. And of course when you register your child in a British Council centre, the whole family will also be able to enjoy a wide variety of complementary services and activities.

Payment methods

We want to give you flexibility in the way you pay for your children courses and we offer different options depending on the one you choose.

What payment methods do we accept?

CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS
  • By Bank Direct Debit.
  • By Credit or Debit Card.
  • By cheque to the British Council.
  • By Bank transfer.

    We do not accept cash payments.


DISCOUNTS

We reward the loyalty of our clients, have a look at our discount policy and find out if you’re eligible for one of our discounts!

  • 5% for students with three or more family members studying simultaneously.
  • 5% for people over 65 years old.

 

I am a parent who wants to enroll his child, what do I have to do?

If your child is aged between 8 - 17, and they have never studied with us before, you'll need to make an appointment for him/her to take the level test in our centre. You can make an appointment to do the level test here.

Children aged 2 - 7 don't need to do a level test.

What are the benefits of being a student?

The benefits your child will get for being our student are:

  • membership of our Resource Centre, from where you can borrow material to use at home.
  • access to the student portal, an online tool with a variety of resources for your child to improve their English.
  • free access to our English Extra events and activities.

What happens if I decide to cancel the course?

If you decide to cancel before classes start, your money will be refunded except for 60€ to cover our administrative costs. If you cancel after the course has started, your money will not be refunded.
