Dual Training is now part of the Spanish vocational training offer, enhancing employment prospects for students and gaining support from key stakeholders such as schools, industry and society at large.

This seminar aims to raise awareness of the British vocational training model and  initiate opportunities for collaboration in delivery of  Dual joint training programmes between companies and institutes. The British model (Apprenticeships) has high similiarities to the recently introduced Spanish model  but has two distinctive features  which will be discussed:

  • The autonomy in decision making of  Colleges which enables both flexibility and rapid adaptability to the market (local or international)
  • The level of involvement of Industry in developing professional profiles and training of future employees
