Teaching science in early Primary through experiments, demonstrations and by asking the right kind of questions.

In this session we will look at ways in which we can make our Primary science teaching more effective. We'll consider experiments versus demonstrations and share lots of ideas for practical experiments which really bring learning to life in our science classes. We'll also think about how our questioning techniques are crucial to help children develop their scientific knowledge, method and skills as well as their creativity and higher order thinking skills. This session is suitable for teachers in bilingual projects working with Years 1 to 3 in Primary.
