Created in 2015, Concéntrico is organized by the Foundation of Architects of La Rioja and Javier Peña Ibáñez, creator of the initiative, in collaboration with the Logroño City Council, the Government of La Rioja and the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.

The British Council's Department of Architecture, Design and Fashion is supporting the participation of the architects Gonzalo Herrero and Pati Santos in this eighth edition of Concéntico, both of whom are professors at Central Saint Martins - University of the Arts London, one of the world's leading art and design universities.

Since 2020 Herrero and Santos have been leading the research project "De-alienating the home", exploring contemporary domesticity in response to questions of ecology and well-being. An installation and performance developed jointly with Central Saint Martins students, it seeks to break with the modern canons of domestic space and invites the public to question its limits and definition, thereby seeking a new connection between people and the planet through these spaces. The passage next to the Old Tobacco Factory will be transformed into a surreal house where visitors and passers-by will become residents of an unexpected domestic space. A space inhabited by unusual objects and furniture that invite the public to question the function of each room, its limits, and its ability to transform the definition of these spaces.
