Within its program "Arts for change" and "UK New Drama", the British Council supports the second edition of the ICAF Summer School co-organized by ICAF Rotterdam and comuArt (Barcelona), with the collaboration of the Grec Festival and in the framework of the Obrador d'estiu of the Sala Beckett.
The ICAF International Community Arts Festival is the largest community arts festival in the world. Every three years, artists and participants from all continents meet in Rotterdam (Holland), a city with a working character, with a wide cultural diversity and some of the largest ports in the world.
From July 22 to 27, the summer school of this festival will land in Barcelona with 60 participants to establish possible professional connections and new projects for the Festival 2020.
British professor Dr. Sheila Preston, head of the Department of Music, Writing and Performing Arts at the University of East London and editor of several books on applied theater will lead a weeklong course on artists as facilitators in community art.
