As part of its programme “It’s time to talk”, the British Council is supporting the launch of “Capítulo uno”, a new international literature festival organized by Matadero Madrid and “Casa del Lector”.
In this first edition the festival programme will feature both established and emerging figures from Spain and abroad including British writer Deborah Levy, Booker Prize winner Margaret Atwood, Bret Easton Ellis, Mathias Enard and Marie Modiano. The festival has also programmed a selection of short films including the video-poem "A real poem" by the London poet and musician James Massiah.
