La Traviata, one of the Royal Opera House’s most popular productions, will be reaching Spanish cinemas soon. Verdi’s tragic opera about a Parisian courtesan who sacrifices all for love combines drama and deep emotions with wonderful music and is vividly told in this acclaimed production directed by Richard Eyre.
In this live performance Violeta will be performed by the Russian soprano Venera Gimadieva in her debut at the ROH, opposite Saimir Pirgu’s Alfredo and conducted by Yves Abel.
