After three successful editions in the UK, the For/With/By Festival of European Youth Theatre, organised by LaJoven (Fundación Teatro Joven) among other institutions, will take place for the first time in Madrid and Getafe to present its fourth edition. The British Council in Spain forms part of this year's partnering institutions.
The For/With/By Festival of European Youth Theatre is a biannual festival produced in England and in Madrid, as of this year. Fundación Teatro Joven is a founding member of the For/With/By consortium, which gave birth to the festival in Birmingham in 2018. This year's format will be divided into performances, seminars and free workshops for young people, diving into topics such as clown, cast work, theatre production or object improvisation.
It's official: four days, three theatres, six performances, workshops and seminars with international artists. From 9 to 12 July, you will be able to join this event that brings together European theatre companies specialised in working with young people, along with others whose creative processes have engaged young people. The UK's presence will be broad thanks to the participation of Open Theatre, Barrowfull, Buxton Opera House, Lyric Hammersmith, Belgrade Theatre, and Extraordinary Body Young Artists. Don't miss your chance to join the workshops or enjoy the performances and seminars!
