Within the framework of the #WeAreEquals programme the British Council joins the European Day of Music organised by the Centro Cultural Conde Duque with an exceptional online programme of interviews and concerts that will bring together two great talents from the emerging music scene from Britain and Spain: Nadia Rose and Dora.

The young rapper Nadia Rose, who is frequently played on the Selector UK Music Programme on Radio3Extra has become in just three years one of the most relevant figures of the British urban music scene with an intelligent and explosive mix of hip-hop, black music, funk, electronic and incisive and daring lyrics. Stormzy's cousin, Nadia published her debut EP “Highly Flammable”, in 2017 following her previous successes such as “Station”, “Skwod”, “BOOM” o “D.F.W.T.” . Without doubt today she is one of the musical sensations of the British music scene with her very successful recent singles such as “WUT2”, “On Top” and “Make It Happen” or Airplane Mode”.

Without a doubt Dora is the 2020 Spanish revelation. Born into a family with a long artistic history, she started studying piano at the age of five and by nine she was already creating her own versions of music she heard at home. She studied at the Escuela Creativa and played with the Creativa Junior Big Band. At 13 she started to compose when the producer of pop and electronic music Pional (John Talabot, The XX, Empress Of, The Rapture) decided to collaborate on her first record which was released by the end of the year. With 5 singles released so far, Dora has been streamed almost 6 million times on Spotify and the same amount on YouTube proving to be more than just a young promise.

Both Concerts will only be available while live streaming so don't miss them.
