A new season of BAFTA Shorts is here, our touring film programme in collaboration with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). The programme includes a selection of live action and animation short film nominees, and the winners in each category, from the 2023 BAFTA awards. They represent storytelling that reveals the breadth and diversity of UK society, together with world class artistic and technical flair, and feature some of the UK’s finest acting talents. Aware of the importance of searching for new audiences to support the diversity and talent of the filmmakers, we kick off a new season with three screenings in Madrid, Segovia and Badalona.
Spectators will find in this year's offer titles such as An Irish Goodbye by directors Tom Berkeley and Ross White, which won the BAFTA for Best British Short Film 2023, as well as the Oscar for Best Short. Another highlight is The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Peter Baynton and Charlie Mackesy, winner of the BAFTA for Best Animation Short 2023.
