As part of its programme promoting professional exchanges between the United Kingdom and Spain, the British Council has established an agreement with the Teatro Real in Madrid and the English National Ballet to organize a unique masterclass taught by Loipa Araujo, associate artistic director of the English National Ballet. The company will be in Madrid from 10th to 12th October performing its new version of the iconic love story "Giselle at the Teatro Real made for the company by the extraordinary choreographer Akram Khan. The artistic team includes outstanding artists such as the lighting designer Mark Henderson or the set and costume designer Tim Yip.
The masterclass will be open to dancers of advanced level and over 18 years of age.
The masterclass will be held from 11.30 to 13.15 in one of the Teatro Real’s ballet studios (entrance on Felipe V street).
The British Council committee will evaluate the nominations and offer 40 dancers the possibility of participating in this masterclass as part of the British Council's talent programme. A waiting list will be created based on the total number of participants.
