We launch the Read / Play / Meet / Repeat workshops at Pavón Theater - Kamikaze with the Camden born and raised playwright, Ché Walker; an extremely versatile theatrical artist who likes to give voice to the marginalized of our cities; solitary people at the limits, possible stereotypes that are never fulfilled because Che's writing always reveals a profound humanity that is proof against prejudices of any kind.

As a playwright, Ché has won, among others, the George Devine awards for Revelation Playwright and The Arts Council Award for the most promising young playwright (both in 2003) for the play Flesh Wound premiered at the Royal Court. Among his most famous works are The Frontline (2008/2009) and Lightning Child (2013), both produced and released at the Globe Theatre; Been So Long (1998), released in the USA, Denmark, Germany, Australia, New Zealand. At this moment Been So Long is being adapted by Netflix with Ché as a screenwriter.

As a teacher he has more than 15 years of experience, working in centres such as RADA, the Central School of Speech and Drama, the Stella Adler Academy, the Oxford School of Drama, the Royal Court Young Writers Project (and its implementation in juvenile centres and homeless young people), among others. He is known for his work with people at risk of social exclusion and his commitment to community theatre through multiple projects.

Ché Walker will be in Madrid 25Th and 26th of October
