Phonology: An introduction to the sounds of English

Phonology encompasses many different aspects. This workshop will offer an introduction to English phonemic symbols, their incorporation into the phonemic chart, and present a range of activities teachers of all levels can use to focus on improving their students’ pronunciation.

Our Speaker

Nicholas Rowe has been teaching for over 20 years, finished the RSA Diploma in 2000 and completed his Masters in TESOL at the British University in Dubai in 2010.  He has worked in the UK, Poland, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Japan as well as in Spain. Nick has taught a range of age groups including young learners from age 6 to 13, as well as seniors and adults ranging from beginners to candidates preparing for their proficiency (CPE) exam.
