Classroom management encompasses many different aspects. This workshop will focus on why young learners might behave badly in class, how this behaviour might manifest itself, and how teachers can deal with it effectively.
The session also looks at ways to motivate young learners and reduce L1, creating a positive learning environment and minimising disruptive behaviour. Other practical aspects of the session will be the use of settlers and stirrers in the YL classroom, as well as getting students’ attention.
Teachers will also have the chance to discuss their own experience of effective management strategies, as well as looking at practical ideas to implement in their young learner English classes.
