The jury of the sixth edition of the #WeAreEquals Music Academy has selected 38 talented artists from Spain, Greece, Poland, Ireland and the United Kingdom to join the latest edition of this exclusive training event run by the British Council, MUTEK ES, SAE SPAIN and Brighter Sound, with the support of shesaid.so, Femnoise and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office.
This latest edition of the Music Academy features a panel of experts who will share their experiences and advice to help equalers in boosting their artistic careers in areas such as the development of their artistic identity, the role of the artist as a community promoter or digital presence and networking. The programme will bring together professionals such as Mantra (dj, British producer and founder of Rupture); Steffi Allatt and Aalice, founders of one of the most disruptive techno events in the UK (Meat Free); Jayne Stynes, former agent for artists and bands like Gorillaz and former coordinator of the Music Management Forum UK; Steven Braines, founder of the HE/SHE/THEY label and brand; Georgia Taglietti, mentor, member of the management of shesaid.so Spain and former director of communication and digital of the Sónar festival; Natalia San Juan, founder and CEO of femnoise.
At the end of the Music Academy, the names of the three equalers who will perform at the 13th edition of MUTEK ES will be announced, as well as the three equalers who will receive two months of mentoring, thanks to the support of BE Creativos from the British Embassy in Spain.
