If you could do with some fresh ideas about which books to read next, join us on our Facebook page this Thursday for some very special tips.

We asked some Spanish authors which British writers have made the most impact upon them, and at the same time we wanted to find out which Spanish literary works have inspired some of their British counterparts.

In videos they’ve recorded in their own homes, we’ll find out who is the English novelist who never disappoints Nuria Barrios (novelist, short story writer, poet and literary critic); which Spanish play has most influenced Jessie Burton (actress and multi-award-winning author of "The Miniaturist"); which book written in Spanish has made the most impact on playwright and prize-winning writer Nell Leyshon: who, according to the Spanish journalist and author Rosa Montero, are the great masters of British literature from the 19th century to the present day; or who are the writers who Javier Sierra (journalist and Planeta Prize-winning author) believes encourage us to think, connect and communicate. Antonio Soler and Javier Montes will also be joining us.
