Aptis ESOL is recognised as an English language proficiency qualification officially recognised by multiple public bodies in Spain, including 16 Autonomous Communities and the CRUE. It is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examination Regulation (Ofqual), which regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England.
The British Council is also a member, associate or part of the executive committee of relevant and high level education organisations, such as EAQUALS, EALTA, and ALTE.

Aptis ESOL is available in three variants: Aptis ESOL General, Aptis ESOL for Teachers and Aptis ESOL Advanced
- Aptis ESOL General and Aptis ESOL for Teachers assesses levels A1 to B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
- Aptis ESOL Advanced tests language proficiency from B1 to C2 on the CEFR.
With Aptis ESOL, you receive your results by email 48 to 72 hours after taking your exam. Your Aptis ESOL certificate is sent by courier within 7 to 10 days.
