Where can you take IELTS in Spain?

We offer a range of convenient test dates in 29 official IELTS test centre locations across Spain. You can choose to take your IELTS on paper or on a computer in a test centre. IELTS in a Test Centre

You will need to come to a test centre to sit your test.

  • ON PAPER - Cities where you can take your IELTS on paper test: Barcelona, Donostia, Gerafe, A Coruña, Las Palmas, León, Madrid, Málaga, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife, Valladolid, Vigo and Zaragoza.
  • ON COMPUTER - Cities where you can take your IELTS on computer test: Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos, Córdoa, Madrid, Las Palmas, Pamplona, Sevilla, Valencia and Santiago de Compostela.

Your results will be available in 1-5 days if you take your IELTS on computer and in 13 days if you take your IELTS on paper.

Test schedule and timings 

Your Listening, Reading, and Writing sections of the test will be completed on the same day with no break in between. We are running tests in the morning and in the afternoon. Morning sessions are usually between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm. Afternoon sessions are usually between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm.  

If you take IELTS on paper, your Speaking test will take place on a different day to the other sections of the test, in a 7-day window before or after the main test day. You will receive an email confirming your Speaking test date 48 hours in advance. 

Choose your Speaking test slot 

You can choose your Speaking test slot whether you take IELTS on a computer or on paper. If we need to change your slot, we will notify you by email or phone.

If you need a visa for working or studying in the UK, then in some cases you may need to take IELTS for UK Visas and Immigration or IELTS for UKVI Life Skills.
