- 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Format
There are four sections to the test: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. IELTS General Training can be taken on computer or on paper. In both cases the exam will take place inan official British Council IELTS test centre.
Your Speaking test may be offered on the same day as the other sections of the test, or up to a week before or after. You will receive notification in advance if your Speaking test is on a different day to your main test day.
Results
- IELTS in a test centre on computer - You will receive your results electronically only. You can download the electronic version (eTRF) from the Test Taker portal 1-5 days after your test.
- IELTS in a test centre on paper - You will be able to preview your results after 13 calendar days from the test date. We will send out a paper copy of your IELTS test score, the Test Report Form (TRF), via mail delivery 2-3 days after your results. release date.
